Step inside Police Headquarters for a surprisingly fascinating museum of Queensland crime and policing.
On the ground floor of Queensland Police Headquarters is a museum many Brisbane residents don't realise exists. Its displays trace policing in Queensland from the nineteenth century to the present, using objects, photographs and case material to explore how police work — and the city around it — has changed.
There are 25 displays covering different policing themes, making this much more than a cabinet of old uniforms. It's an unusual window into Queensland history hiding inside a working government building.
