Step off Queen Street and into a beautifully preserved piece of 1920s Brisbane.
Brisbane Arcade opened in 1924 and still runs between Queen Street and Adelaide Street in the heart of the CBD. Its two-storey galleries, decorative details and small specialty shops preserve the atmosphere of an era before modern shopping centres transformed the city.
Rather than simply cutting through, slow down and look up. The upper gallery, shopfronts and architectural details enable you to step into another period of the city's history.
